Raw Pecan Pie Slice

I absolutely love pecan pie. The subtle hints of cinnamon and nutmeg when paired with the creamy almond butter and fresh pecans is to die for. This Raw Pecan Pie slice came to mind as I was really trying to think of a raw slice recipe that hadn’t been done before.. I was scrolling through reels on instagram and saw a pecan praline smoothie bowl and thought what a cool raw slice idea!

I think healthy slices could be one of my favourite things to create. I feel like the possibilities are endless when it comes to flavour combinations. If you haven’t tried my Chocolate Orange Slice that’s definitely a must! I know it’s still months away but I’m getting so excited for Christmas recipes I already have a long list of them on my phone… I think I’ll be making this Raw Pecan Pie Slice into a real Pecan Pie once Christmas comes. If you have any recipe ideas you’d like me to try make feel free to flick me a message on instagram. I’m not sure if I’m just getting really fast at making raw slices or my recipes are getting easier because this slice didn’t take me long at all to make! You just have to be sure to set it in the freezer for at least two hours.

To make the filling blend together the pecans, coconut cream, almond butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, coconut oil and maple syrup in a food processor until smooth and creamy. Pour this mixture on top if the base layer and top it with extra pecans. Leave in the freezer to set for at least 2 hours.
